What a glorious day, full of sunshine and springness.
Our day started off with a long dog walk in the countryside and finished with a sausage and mash din dins (I do like a good old fashioned sausage now and again😜), courtesy of my lovely husband. Sausages and green beans from the never ending freezer emptying duties!
Blackberries(freezer) and custard for dessert. What will I do when the freezer is eventually empty I wonder(apart from move it into its new home in the shed of course)… Restock it with more loveliness and remember to label items next time as its a bit strange eating spaghetti with chilli when I thought I was defrosting bolognese sauce.
A special mention for my friend Helen who I studied with at Westminster college a long long time ago. We shared so many happy, silly times together, making huge roast dinners for everyone in the house, and concocting various dishes(mostly successful but not always) in the tiny student style kitchens we shared with several others. We have just started messaging again after far too long. Looking forward to meeting over coffee and cake in the future-of course it involves food as usual. Helen also has a blog http://www.helen-watson.co.uk. Take a look xxx
